Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent generation of cracks, etc., on a base stock for shaft and the like (billet) by avoiding crashing of projected parts at the time of straightening the bends of the billet.
CONSTITUTION: Reference is made to the case where bends are straightened on a billet W, which has projected parts Ha such as burrs on the outer circumferential surface, by pressing the billet W by rollers 41a, 41b rotated synchronously with the billet which is held at both ends and rotated-Recessed parts of relief 62 are provided on the outer circumferential surface of both pressing rollers 41a, 41b so that the projected parts Wa are avoided in the rolling operation and not crashed.
