Title:
METHOD FOR DRAWING UP MOLTEN METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07328759
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the pouring of only pure molten metal into a die without drawing up impurities floating on the molten metal with a ladle by stopping the lower end of an arm at a prescribed position distant from the molten metal surface and successively, turning a ladle in the direction of following the cover body.

CONSTITUTION: In a molten metal supplying machine and the ladle 1 drawing up the molten metal 11 from a molten metal supplying furnace, the cover body 2 covering the peripheral edge inner surface of the ladle 1 is demarcatedly provided almost parallel to the peripheral edge, and the descant of an arm 4 is stopped at a prescribed position and the molten metal is filled up into the ladle 1 from the cover body 2 during turning the ladle 1 in the turning direction to be dipped into the molten metal or after stopping the turning of the ladle 1. The cover body 2 excludes impurities 10 from the molten metal surface 12 when further turning the ladle 1 and the pure molten metal 11 inflows into the ladle 1 turned behind the cover body 2. By this method, the impurities 10 floating on the molten metal is not drawn into the ladle 1, and only the pure molten metal 11 is poured into the die to cast the sound product without containing the impurity into the cast product.
