Abstract:
To provide a microwave drying method in which uniform irradiation distribution in a space is achieved not by mechanically but by agitation utilizing a physical phenomenon and heating efficiency can be enhanced by eliminating resonance and damping phenomenon.
At the time of drying monolithic refractory lining of a molten metal container, a space defined by the metal frame of the container and a metal cover covering the opening thereof is used as a cavity resonator and microwave induction heating is performed while varying the frequency continuously within a range of ±50 MHz for the reference wavelength.
