Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily and efficiently separating and recovering various metals from incineration fly ash which is generated when incinerating wastes, such as shredder dust, or from molten fly ash which is generated when the incineration fly ash is further melted by means of plasma, etc.
SOLUTION: Lead is eluted from fly ash by using an aqueous solution of thiosulfate of pH 7-12, and the resultant eluate is electrolyzed to deposit and recover the lead in the form of lead sulfide. Then the pH value of the aqueous solution of thiosulfate after the elution and electrolysis is made to 4-6.5 to elute zinc from the fly ash, and the resultant eluate is electrolyzed to deposit and recover the zinc in the form of zinc sulfide. Subsequently, the pH value of the aqueous solution of thiosulfate after the elution and electrolysis is made to 7-12 to reuse the resultant solution for the method in the claim 1.
