Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for judging a charged state of a battery in a battery pack and for executing charge. CONSTITUTION: In a method and device for judging a charged state of a battery in a battery pack and for executing charge, data of battery charge and temperature stored in a memory in the battery pack are transferred to a controller. The controller calculates a remaining capacity and selects an appropriate charge profile based on the data from the memory and the calculated remaining capacity. The above-mentioned device is equipped with a battery pack which surrounds a memory unit, a temperature monitor, and a current sensor. Data from the memory unit, the temperature monitor, and the current sensor are inputted to the controller. The controller is a microprocessor, an EEROM, or an element having a similar capability.
