To provide a method of fabricating a glass panel having the gap firmly sealed and keeping airtightness of interface between the sheet glass and a metallic material being hardly affected.
This method of fabricating a glass panel comprises forming a gap V between a pair of sheet glasses 1A and 1B facing the sheet surfaces to each other by having mediated a spacer, introducing a metallic material 3 in a melted state into a peripheral part V1 of the gap carried by an introduction piece 5 inserted in the gap, transferring the introduction piece along the periphery to spread the metallic material forming airtight seal of the gap, where the introduction piece is provided with contacting parts 7 to make contact with peripheral surfaces of both the sheet glasses and flowing parts 8 to introduce molten metallic material to the periphery both arranged along the direction crossing to the transferring direction of the introduction piece, and the introduction piece is transferred along the periphery while the contacting parts are rubbing the surface of both the sheet glasses in the presence of the metallic material in the melted state introduced via flowing parts to adhere the melted metallic material to the sheet surfaces.
