Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and automatically impart keywords. SOLUTION: A feature value extraction part 15 extracts the feature value of an image to be registered and obtains a p-dimensional(pD) feature vector. A vector conversion part 16 converts the pD feature vector into a k-dimensional feature-synthesized variable vector by multiplying the pD feacture vector by a normal correlation coefficient matrix A2 to change the scale. An automatic keyword setting processing part 14 obtains q near-by images based on distances between the feature-synthesized variable vector of the image to be registered and the coordinate-synthesized variable vectors of r registered images stored in a vector conversion coefficient storing part 10. Then, h near-by keywords for each near-by image are obtained based on the positions of the q near-by images on image space and the positions of the registered keywords on keyword space. Thus q×h corresponding keywords to be imparted to the image to be registered can be simply and automatically set up.
