PURPOSE: To improve productivity in photofinishing laboratories by forming the images of frame numbers on a negative film on a xerographic photoreceptor to form electrostatic latent images and imprinting the images made by developing these in the suitable positions of a print sensitive material as positive images.

CONSTITUTION: The frame numbers positive-displayed on a negative film are reversal-imaged as negative display on a xerographic photoreceptor, and the frame numbers are positive-displayed in the suitable positions of prints. For example, at the time of exposing the 135 negative film 1 in an exposure window 5 to a print sensitive material 3 by a lens 4, the frame number existing on the side of this frame is exposed onto the xerographic photoreceptor by a lens 9, and arrangement is so made that if the negative film 1 and the material 3 move the xerographic photoreceptor moves as well synchronously with this. The negative image developed by a developing part 11 stops in the position of 12, and at the time of exposing the next frame, it is positive-displayed on the print by way of a lens 14 and a mirror 15.
