Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolytic refining method capable of efficiently manufacturing metal of high purity by effectively utilizing electrodes and electrolyte manufactured in a plurality of electrolytic refining steps, and recycling the flow of the electrolyte in the system.
SOLUTION: This method for increasing the purity of metal comprises a step of obtaining a primary precipitated metal by performing electrolysis of raw metal by the primary electrolysis, a step of obtaining the electrolyte of higher purity for secondary electrolysis by performing electrolysis with the primary precipitated metal obtained by the primary electrolytic step as an anode, and a step of performing secondary electrolysis with the primary precipitated metal as an anode by using the electrolyte of higher purity.
