Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for inspecting the end face shape of a glass tube rod for saving man-power in a process and improving quality by eliminating the need for a reference tube rod and the setting for each product type switching.
CONSTITUTION: A glass tube rod 1 is rotated and both edges of the glass tube rod are shot by CCD image sensor cameras 3A and 3B for each equal rotary angle of 120° or less, a plurality of images shot for each equal rotary angle are compared, and the amount of deviation is detected, and then the quality being good or not is judged based on the amount of deviation.
