Abstract:
To provide a method and instrument for measuring water-cement ratio by which the water-cement ratio of an unset cement-based material can be measured quickly and accurately at a construction site.
In this method, a filtrate is extracted from fresh concrete which is the unset cement-based material and the concentration of chromium contained in the infiltrate is measured at the construction site (step 101). In addition, the correlation between the concentration of the chromium contained in the filtrate and the water-cement ratio of the fresh concrete is also found (step 102). Then the water-cement ratio is evaluated by applying the concentration of the chromium to the found correlation (step 103).
