Abstract:
PURPOSE:To aim at saving working equipment and materials and at shortening a working process, by laying a monorail trackway from an accumulation yard for heat insulating panels and membrane sheets to a predetermined applying section in a membrane tank in a hull. CONSTITUTION:A monorail trackway 7 is laid from a warehouse installed on the land to a hull alongside a pier, and is then introduced into the hull through an upper entrance port in the hull in conformity with a layout which has been designed by a computer in accordance with the internal shape of a membrane tank 9. Mororail vehicles 10 which never run away and drop even though the trackway 7 is inverted and rolled, may run on the trackway 7, and carriages for loading thereon heat-insulating panels 2 and membrane sheets 3 are mounted on the bogies of the monorail vehicles 10. The carriages are elevatably mounted, and therefore, after they are conveyed to a predetermined position, they are elevated to press the heat-insulating panels 2 and the membrane sheets 3 against the inner shell of the hull for application of them to the hull.
