PURPOSE: To provide a device for rolling a hot rolled stock and a hot strip rolling equipment which are suitable for continuous rolling in technique for joining the hot rolled stock, especially, with the hot strip rolling equipment.

CONSTITUTION: At least two places in the breadthwise direction of each of the rear end of a preceding metallic member 2 and the tip of the following metallic member 1 are clamped in the vertical direction with clamps 5-8 and the end faces of the rear end and tip of both metallic members are heated, mutually pressurized and joined. Continuous rolling is enabled without stopping the rolled stock and the improvement of productivity, energy saving and yield and manpower saving can be embodied.
