PURPOSE: To provide the method for joining roll films which are not released from joining during transportation in an automatic developing machine and the method for releasing the roll films from joining, etc., capable of easily releasing the roll films from the joining without changing the length of the respective roll films.
CONSTITUTION: A stage for punching square holes 20A to 20E respectively at the rear end of the roll film 10 and the front end of the roll film 12 and a stage for bugging the rear end of the roll film 10 and the front end of the roll films 12 against each other in such a manner that both roll films 10, 12 are aligned in a straight line are executed simultaneously or in arbitrary order; thereafter, the front and rear surfaces of the region including the square holes 20A to 20E respectively punched on the roll films 10, 12 are held by joining tapes 24, etc., and the joining tapes on the front and rear surface sides are thermally welded to each other via the square holes 20A to 20E.
