PURPOSE: To provide a method and device for judging the validity of a digitizer sampled point.
CONSTITUTION: A contact resistance at a contact point between an upper layer 22 and a lower layer 24 of a digitzer 20 is decided, and compared with a valid range contact resistance value in order to decided the propriety of a sampled point. Also, this device is provided with an analog driving circuit 16 which drives the digitizer 20 by one of plural driving sources 34, 44, 36, and 46, switch control logic circuit 14 connected to the driving circuit 16 which decides which of driving sources 34, 44, 36, and 46 is connected to the digitizer 20, analog/ digital converter 18 connected to the digitizer 20, and microcontroller 12 connected between the analog/digital converter 18 and the switch control logic circuit 14. Thus, the contact resistance is decided, and compared with the resistance value in the valid range, and when the contact resistance is present in the valid range, the position of the point is stored.
