An optical cable (9A1 and the like) is connected to each house of an apartment house (4) by connecting a plurality of optical cables (1A to 1C) of a plurality of communication undertakers each to an optical cable collection panel (5), connecting the end parts of the optical cables (6A1 and the like) of the communication undertakers in the optical cable collection panel, and arranging an optical connection adaptor (8) having a plurality of undertaker side connectors (8A1 and the like) corresponding to a plurality of house side connectors (8B1 and the like) and optically connectable between both connectors in the optical cable collection panel. An optical cable connection device is configured so that one end of the optical cable (9A1 and the like) is led into the optical cable collection panel and a connector (7') provided at the end part is connected to the adaptor (8) for each house side connector (8B1 and the like), and an optical connector (7) of a communication undertaker desired by a resident of each house is selectively connectable to the optical connection adaptor (8) of the undertaker side connector (8A1).
