Title:
METHOD FOR MAKING HARMFUL HEAVY METALS CONTAINED IN INCINERATION FLY ASH HARMLESS AND DEVICE THEREFOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3437868
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To surely prevent the elution of the harmful heavy metals contained in the incineration fly ash contg. slaked lime by allowing specified proportions of active sulfur and heavy metals to react with the fly ash contg. harmful heavy metals and slaked lime as a neutralizer, etc., to sulfidize the heavy metals and preventing the elution of the heavy metals.
CONSTITUTION: The ash supplied to the pan 3 of a pan granulator is moved upward by rotating the pan 3, the atomized water injected from an atomizer 21 adheres to the surface by forming a nucleus from each ash grain to form a film, and a coarse grain is constituted. The coarse grains are adhered together with the rotation of the pan 3, rolled and granulated into a large grain, and the grain grown to a specified size is discharged from the peripheral edge of the pan 3. At this time, 0.5-7wt.% active sulfur and 20-50wt.% water, based on the fly ash, are added to the incineration fly ash contg. harmful heavy metals and slaked lime as a neutralizer, the mixture is rolled and granulated to cause the reaction of the active sulfur with heavy metals, hence the heavy metals are sulfidized, and the heavy metals are not eluted.
