To provide a method for manufacturing a container or a bottle which is heat-resistant and exhibits superb shaping properties.
This method for manufacturing a bottle composed mainly of a polyethylene terephthalate resin comprises the steps to blow-mold and biaxially stretch a preform composed mainly of a polyethylene terephthalate resin, using a molding tool and thereby obtain a molded intermediate product and heat the molded intermediate product so that it heat-shrinks and thus obtain a formed intermediate product and further, blow-form the formed intermediate product, using a forming tool. After a fluid is blown into the formed intermediate product to inflate it in the blow-forming process, the fluid is further blown into the formed intermediate product to circulate the fluid so that it is cooled.
