Abstract:
To establish a method for manufacturing a cyanoindole derivative without generating a dangerous gas and a waste water containing such a hazardous substance as a cyanide ion, a copper ion or the like, safely and in a high yield.
In the method for manufacturing the cyanoindole derivative, the cyanoindole derivative is extracted into an organic solvent by making a copper complex of the cyanoindole derivative (c) obtained by the reaction of a halogeno-indole derivative (a) and copper cyanide (I) (b), and one kind of metal (d) having a bigger ionization tendency than that of copper or a mixture of two or more kinds of the metals coexist in the organic solvent.
