To surely manufacture a cylinder block, which has a liner for composing the wall surface of a cylinder bore and a water jacket for flowing cooling fluid, with a simple configuration without damaging a sand core.
A casting mold for manufacturing the cylinder block having the liner 1 for composing the wall surface of the cylinder bore and the water jacket for flowing the cooling fluid includes: a first mold 11 for holding the outside of the sand core 2 for forming the water jacket, and for forming a cavity 10 between the sand core 2 and the liner 1 so as to be filled with a part 3 of molten material of the cylinder block by the gravity casting method; and a second mold 21 for holding the inside of the liner 1 integrated with the partial molten metal 3 and the sand core 2 by the first mold 11, and for forming a cavity 20 on the outside of the sand core 2 so as to be charged with molten material 4 by the die casting method.
