Title:
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FILM TRANSFER WOOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3198100
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide film transfer wood making the most of the excellent characteristics of wood, such as properties of hygroscopic sorption, and also enabling arbitrary adjustment of color and attachment of a surface performance, and a manufacturing method thereof.
SOLUTION: The surface of wood 12 such as a Japanese cedar is subjected to preliminary heat treatment at a high temperature volatilizing a gum component of low boiling point. A transfer sheet formed by laminating a heat-resistant sheet 20 and a heat-shrinkable film 14 is put on the surface of the heated wood 12, and the film 14 is transferred onto the surface of the wood 12. The heat- shrinkable film 14 being a thin film of about 3-9 μm is provided in adhesion on the surface of the wood 12 by thermal transfer and minute holes 16 are formed in the film 14, the surface of the wood 12 being exposed from these minute holes 16.
