To provide a method for manufacturing an information display panel, in which drastic intrusion of air into a cell or vibration of a panel substrate can be suppressed when a mask is dismounted from the panel substrate, a group of particles filling the cell is prevented from rising, no particles remain on an upper face of a barrier wall, and the particle group can be uniformly distributed.
The method includes: a mask disposing step of positioning a mask having an aperture corresponding to a cell aperture on a panel substrate, with both apertures opposing to each other, while contacting the mask on a barrier wall in an information display screen region and with a frame rib provided in a periphery of the information display screen region; a particle disposing step of mounting a dry particle group on the mask and moving the particle group by moving a particle conveying member while pressing the member to the mask, to dispose the particles in the cell on the panel substrate through the mask aperture; and a mask separating step of separating the mask from the upper face of the barrier wall on the panel substrate after the particle group is disposed in the cell on the panel substrate. When the above steps are carried out, the face of the mask in the opposite side to the face to mount the particle group is prepared as a rough surface.
