PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a liquid discharge head that can excellently remove an adhering material to a surface of a discharge port.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a liquid discharge head comprising a member having a discharge port on a substrate includes a step of causing ice particles having kinetic energy of 1.22×10kg msor more and 9.63×10kg msor less and a speed of 400 m/s or more and 450 m/s or less to collide with a surface provided with the discharge port of a layer for forming the member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2-2
