PURPOSE: To manufacture metallic scuppers of sinks in cheap cost without using a conventional deep drawing process by cutting a solid material composed of an upper edge part and a bottom part and welding each of these parts respectively to the upper and lower parts of a metallic cylinder by argon arc process.
CONSTITUTION: A main scupper body 1 is manufactured of a metallic cylinder body such as stainless steel plate by means of automatic argon arc welding method. By forming a similar metallic plate an a press on upper edge part member 2 with a flange (a) and a bottom part member 3 which is drawn into a distributing pipe connector (b) are combined into one body through a middle cylindrical part (C) with the same diameter as the main body 1 has. The above combination substance is cut by a line a-a into an upper edge part 2 and a bottom part 3. The bottom of the upper edge part 2 to the upper end of the main body 1 and the upper edge of the bottom part 3 to the lower end of the main body 1 are respectively welded in argon arc. A filter setting step part 5, a scupper floating stopper, dotted projections (not shown in the figure) are equipped and urethane foam, etc., is let to adhere to the circumference of the scupper. In this method the above said scuppers can be manufactured easily and efficiently.
