Abstract:
To provide a method for stably manufacturing a narrow micro-catheter consisting of an inner layer, a reinforcing layer and an outer layer, with excellent operability; and the micro-catheter manufactured by the method.
In the method for manufacturing the micro-catheter consisting of the inner layer, the reinforcing layer and the outer layer, the reinforcing layer has a braiding structure consisting of strands made of materials with different fusion points. The method for stably manufacturing the narrow micro-catheter with excellent operability and the micro-catheter manufactured by the method can be obtained by heating and fusing at least one of the strands spiralled only in one direction of the micro-catheter.
