To provide a method for simply and economically manufacturing an organized laminar inorganic compound suitable for manufacturing a nano composite, and a method for manufacturing a thermoplastic resin composition using the organized laminar inorganic compound.
The method for manufacturing an organized laminar inorganic compound comprises mixing under stirring 100 pts.wt. of a powder containing a swellable laminar inorganic compound with 1-100 pts.wt. of an organizing agent mixed with a solvent or in a molten state by using an agitating device, and taking out the organized laminar inorganic compound in the form of particles or powders having a maximum length of 10 mm or smaller from the agitating device after completion of the organizing treatment. The addition of the organizing agent to the laminar inorganic compound powder in a fluidized state facilitates intercalation and makes it possible to prepare an organized laminar compound having expanded interlaminar spaces. It can be produced by a dry process without using a large quantity of water and without the necessity for a drying step.
