Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a polarizing film in which formation of dyeing irregularity is suppressed.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a polarizing film from a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film includes: a first treatment step of bringing the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film into contact with a first treatment liquid; and a conveyance step of conveying the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film while brought into contact with a roll in a state where the first treatment liquid is interposed therebetween, in this order, in which the first treatment liquid contains iodine, and the roll has at least one of a recess having a depth of 0.03 mm or more and 0.9 mm or less and a projection having a height of 0.03 mm or more and 0.9 mm or less on the surface in contact with the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin film.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
