To provide a method of manufacturing a square nonaqueous electrolyte solution battery capable of increasing winding speed when winding an electrode group, reducing quantity of an inner circumferential separator and positional scatter of a current collection lead.
A winding core is formed into an almost hexagonal shape with three sets of parallel sides composed of one set of parallel long sides and two sets of parallel short sides. A longest diagonal line out of diagonal lines jointing respective vertex of an approximated hexagon, formed in case of approximating the shape of the winding core in the hexagonal shape is in parallel with the long sides. A winding core groove is formed between the longest diagonal line and a diagonal line adjacent to the longest diagonal line, and winding core parts divided by the winding core groove are in non-axial symmetry to each other. The electrode group is wound by using a winding cores of point symmetry.
