Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing a sulfur binder which makes the reaction control easy and can produce, with good workability, a sulfur binder capable of improving mechanical strength, water barrier properties, ignitability, resistance to sulfur oxidizing bacteria and the like, and reconverting wastes into resources, to obtain a sulfur binder, and to provide a method for manufacturing a sulfur composition by using this binder.

The method for manufacturing a sulfur binder comprises a step of subjecting sulfur, dicyclopentadiene, and a hydroaromatic compound to heat treatment, and the method for manufacturing a sulfur composition comprises a step of melt-mixing the sulfur binder and an aggregate and a step of cooling the molten mixture or a step of subjecting sulfur, dicyclopentadiene, a hydroaromatic compound, and an aggregate to heat treatment and a step of cooling the heat-treated mixture.
