Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance a dynamic range effective for displaying a moving part through only one data sampling by selectively exciting at least one section of the body, inverting the direction of the magnetic moment of the part of the body located in the section, and processing its resonance signal. CONSTITUTION: Excitation involves first excitation 18 in which the direction of the magnetic moment of particles located in the region of the body to be examined is tipped 90' for the purpose of spin-echo excitation. This excitation further involves second inversion excitation 19 called spin echo. The directions and phases of the precessions of the magnetic moments of the particles excited in the region which becomes problematic because of the nonuniformity of an orientation magnetic field B0 are dispersed, but this dispersion is inverted by the inversion excitation. A selective gradient pulse 20 is applied at the same time as the inversion excitation 18. After the pulse 20 a phase re-coding pulse 21 continues. At the moment when the inversion pulse 19 is applied, a gradient pulse 22 along Z-axis is applied. Signal measurements are made using a gradient pulse 23. The gradient pulse 23 is given a gradient in the direction of an axis for selecting a section.
