METHOD FOR MEASURING WELDING RESISTANCE AND WELDING EQUIPMENT WHERE THE MEASURING METHOD IS CARRIED OUT

PURPOSE: To improve accuracy of welding quality determination by measuring a resistance value of a path between electrodes as pseudo resistance to store it and measuring the voltage between both ends of the pseudo resistance and the voltage between both electrodes to obtain welding resistance.
CONSTITUTION: Welding is performed with works 12 between both electrodes 9 and 10. A first voltmeter 16 and a second voltmeter 17 measure the voltage between both electrodes 9 and 10 and the voltage of the pseudo resistance between a base part and an end part of a welding arm 8, respectively. A CPU 20 calculates a welding resistance value from a resistance value of the pseudo resistance and both voltages. A memory 21 stores the welding resistance value with time. A displacement gage 15 measures the quantity of displacement of the welding arm 8 and the memory 21 stores the quantity of displacement with time. Based on these stored values, the quality of welding is determined and welding conditions are corrected automatically. Accordingly, even when a generated state of an oxide film on the work surface has variance, welding is performed satisfactorily.
