Abstract:

To provide a method for melting crushed glass which reduces the consumption of energy and prevents a glass material after solidification from being discolored, and to provide molten glass and a glass material.

The method for melting crushed glass includes melting a mixture including crushed glass and sodium carbonate, wherein the mixture is melted at a temperature lower than the lowest temperature at which the glass melts.
