Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To melt titanium ingot with high productivity and superior in quality and characteristics.
SOLUTION: (1) The method for melting the titanium ingot comprises cooling a smelted ingot in a furnace, discharging it outside the furnace when the surface temperature reaches 300-700°C, cooling it with water until the surface temperature of the above ingot reaches 100-200°C, and then drying the surface. (2) The above method for melting the titanium ingot comprising multistage melting, preferably, cools the smelted ingot with water, dries the surface, and then remelts it.
