To provide a method capable of applying multicolor printing of high quality to a web- or plate-shaped article to be printed having a non-absorbing surface simply and advantageously from an aspect of cost and to find out a printing press fitted to this method.
Printing is applied to an article 1 to be printed by a direct flexographic printing method, that is, a letter set method and a printing unit containing an inking arrangement 6, a cylinder 5 for a flexographic printing plate, an offset cylinder 7 and an impression cylinder 8 is arranged to respective inks to be printed and the ink on the article to be printed is always dried before sent to a next printing unit and the ink in the recessed part of the flexographic printing plate or present on the side surface of a printing surface is removed.
