To change resonance characteristics of a stabilizer device so that a vehicle body shows comfortable characteristics at the time of traveling operation.
In a method for operating a stabilizer device capable of adjusting a position, an actuator is included and depends on a guide quantity to give influences on a rolling movement of a vehicle body, so as to energize a stabilizer portion with a torsional moment, and a movement of the vehicle body and a wheel movement are detected using a sensor mechanism. In this method, an operating movement of an actuator (5) provides contribution quantities (TS;TC) to decide an actuator moment. The contribution quantities are accumulated together with adjustment signals for the actuator (5), and evaluation coefficients (dakt;cakt) are provided to the contribution quantities.
