Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce Si in molten iron, to secure strength of coke and to stabilize the operation by adding slag making material of CaO series or MgO series in the coke and making the prescribed value of CaO or MgO in the coke ash.

CONSTITUTION: The slag making material of CaO series or MgO series is added in the coke. Then, CaO/SiO2 in the ash in the coke is made to 0.3W0.8 and MgO/SiO2 to 0.2W0.7. By this method, Si in the molten iron by using the coke is reduced and the strength of the coke is secured and the stable blast furnace is executed.
