Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of operating a pneumatically floating belt conveyor device for preventing the unstable drive condition of the belt conveyor with dew formed depending on the conditions of a vapor in the case of carrying a material liable to produce the vapor with the pneumatically floating belt conveyor device, and permitting carriage in a stable condition.
SOLUTION: The method of operating the pneumatically floating belt conveyor device maintains such a stable operated condition that a current value for a driving motor is a rated value or less, in carrying the material liable to produce vapor transferred from an upstream-side pneumatically floating belt conveyor via a chute to a downstream-side pneumatically floating belt conveyor, by applying following treatments. By previously predicting that such an unstable operated condition occurs wherein a current value for a driving motor for driving the conveyor belt exceeds the rated value by means of measuring a humidity in a conveyor casing flotation compressed air amount is increased and/or the amount of dew formation is suppressed by cooling the material to be carried in the conveyor casing.
