Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a plotting data optimizing method whereby data transfer from a work station to a plotter is executed at a high speed even if a plotting graphic is complicated and also load increase at a plotter side is restricted so as to enable a high-speed plotting.
CONSTITUTION: A system is the plotting one where information related to the graphic which is generated and edited in the work station 10 is transferred to a plotter 20 as vector data and vector data transferred to the plotter 20 is plotted through bit map-expansion. Then, before transferring vector data to the plotter 20, plotting data corresponding to the graphic which is plotted in a prescribed picture memory provided in the work station 10 undergoes bit map-expansion and vector data is generated on the bit map which is expanded in the prescribed picture memory so as to eliminate the superimposing graphic.
