PURPOSE: To provide a method for pressing a wrapping sheet for aluminum sheet at a low cost and in a complicated shape.

CONSTITUTION: For a method to press a metal sheet 2, a hydraulic press 1 is used. A blank holder 6 of the hydraulic press 1 is controlled so as to apply restraining pressure on the sheet 2 in the pressing stage. The restraining pressure is alternatively changed with a pre-determined frequency between zero and a pre-determined maximum. The maximum pressure and the frequency are set according to the properties of the sheet 2 to be pressed.
