Title:
METHOD FOR PREVENTING AGGREGATION OF 2,3,3-TRIIODOALLYL ALCOHOL AND PREPARATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07278033
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To effectively prevent aggregation of 2,3,3-triiodoallyl alcohol having insecticidal activity by adding calcium carbonate to 2,3,3-triiodoallyl alcohol.

CONSTITUTION: 2,3,3-Triiodoallyl alcohol (hereinafter referred to as TIAA) is mixed with calcium carbonate, preferably in a mixed weight ratio of (3:7) to (7:3) to prevent aggregation of TIAA. Furthermore, the mixed ratio is most preferably 1:1. A container-rotating type mixer provided with stirring blade or capable of using a stirring medium is more preferably used for the mixing method, because specific gravities of two compounds are different. The mixer may also be used in order to carry out powdering. When the particle diameters of both compounds are in distribution range of about 0.1μm to 200μm, the aggregation can effectively be prevented. According to this method, storage stability of TIAA can be enhanced. Re-dispersing process in providing TIAA as a final product can be saved.
