Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely prevent the inversion of spatter and the dross into a punched part holding an upper and a lower dies with a simple constitution by fitting a dummy die in the die holding part of the punching part at the time of thermal cutting.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of starting a laser beam mazchining after completing the punching, the die fitted to a punching head 3 and a fixed base 4 is changed to the dummy die. In this dummy die, a locking part to a die hand 12, the punching head 3 and the fixed base 4 is formed as the same shape as the conventional die but an edge part is not provided and i.e., a blind die having the shape closing the necessary part for protecting the die holding part from the spatter and the dross developed at the time of the laser beam machining. To be concrete, the lower surface in a stopper and the upper surface in a die 20 have the closed shapes, respectively. Further, a laser beam machining head 6 is arranged at the left side.
