To provide a method for producing a 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide-6- sulfonate, by which the 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide-6-sulfonate can easily produced at a low cost, and to provide a method for selectively separating the 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide-6-sulfonate.
This method for producing the 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide-6- sulfonate, characterized by containing a process for stepwisely adjusting the inorganic salt concentration of the aqueous solution of a 1,2-naphthoquinone-2- diazide derivative mixture at least containing the 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide-5- sulfonate and the 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide-6-sulfonate, thereby selectively separating the 1,2-naphthoquinone-2-diazide-5-sulfonate and the 1,2- naphthoquinone-2-diazide-6-sulfonate.
