Abstract:
To provide a method for producing 2-hydroxy-6-vinylnaphthalene, by which the 2-hydroxy-6-vinylnaphthalene can industrially efficiently be produced.
This method for producing the 2-hydroxy-6-vinylnaphthalene is characterized by reacting a 2-substituted oxy-6-vinylnaphthalene represented by formula (1) [wherein, R is one of R1CO-, R2NHCO-, R3OC(=O)- and R4SO2-; R1 is H or a hydrocarbon group; R2 to R4 are each a hydrocarbon group] obtained by three stage reactions and the like from 6-hydroxy-2-naphthoaldehyde with a compound having a hetero atom bound to active hydrogen.
