The alkoxy thiophene derivative is obtained in good yield by a cross coupling reaction of a metal compound or a boron compound of an alkoxy thiophene compound with a halogenated compound of a (hetero)arylene compound having a group composed of a monocyclic, condensed polycyclic or condensed ring thiophene derivative and the like in the presence of a transition metal catalyst.
