Abstract:

To provide a production method by which a β-alkylhalohydrin ether and an alkyl glycidyl ether are produced in high yield with high catalytic activity, and the danger in the operation can be avoided.

This method for producing the β-alkylhalohydrin ether by reacting alcohols with α-epihalohydrin in the presence of an acid catalyst is characterized in that the acid catalyst is the one obtained by mixing an aluminum alkoxide with a metal sulfate.
