Abstract:
To inexpensively obtain allyl alcohol through attaining a long-term stable operation for the process of efficiently producing the allyl alcohol by a hydrolysis reaction of allyl acetate.
A method for producing allyl alcohol involves using a specific acetic acid for producing the allyl alcohol by the allyl acetate process, namely the acetic acid substantially free of any halide because of being obtained by a direct reaction between ethylene and oxygen without contact with any halide.
