Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an aqueous dispersion of hollow polymer particles capable of producing an aqueous dispersion containing hollow polymer particles having high void ratio in high efficiency while suppressing the formation of coagulum in production.
An aqueous dispersion (II) containing a polymer particle (B) composed of at least two layers comprising a core polymer particle (A) and an outer layer polymer essentially surrounding the core polymer (A) is incorporated with a base to adjust the pH of the dispersion to ≥7 and obtain an aqueous dispersion (III) containing a hollow polymer particle having at least one void. The necessary stirring power for stirring the aqueous dispersion (II) is set to ≤0.2 kW/m3.
