Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an endoperoxide in high yield, which is a safe and low-cost method.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing an endoperoxide by subjecting a conjugated diene and oxygen to photoreaction using a reaction solvent, wherein the reaction solvent is a mixed solvent of at least any one of methanol and ethanol and an aprotic solvent in which the life of singlet oxygen in the solvent exhibits 30 μ seconds or more and light used in the photoreaction has an emission peak wavelength in 600 nm to 680 nm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
