Abstract:
To provide a method for easily producing a gold nanorod having a controlled shape by one stage process.
The method for producing the gold nanorod includes irradiating a solution of gold ions or gold complex, which contains a cationic surfactant, silver nitrate which functions as an auxiliary of the surfactant and a reducing agent, with an ultrasonic wave having a frequency of 15 kHz to 10 MHz and an output of 0.001 to 1,000 W/cm2.
