To provide a method for producing a high purity product material having little content of an atom (Y) except carbon capable of being detected by inductive coupling plasma analysis method and constituting a fluorine-based organic solvent and provide a method for analyzing the atom (Y).
This method for producing the high purity product material comprises the step of essentially separating a compound to which the atom (Y) is bonded from a composition containing a compound to which the atom (Y) is not bonded and the compound to which the atom (Y) is bonded. The compound to which the atom (Y) is bonded is separated until the total amount of the atom (Y) detected by the plasma analysis method is equal to or less than the arbitrary amount by using a fluorine-based organic solvent of the product material.
